Choosing to follow God
Intro: What is the best decision you have ever made?
Study
- Josh 24:15 God has given to everyone of us the freedom to make our own decisions, our free will is a gift of God.
- Rev 3:20 God does not force us to accept him, nor does he make us obey his commands, or follow his ways, he simply offers us salvation and a good life.
- Deut 30:19-20 We have the freedom to accept Christ, repent of our sins and follow God, and we have the freedom to reject God and go our own way.
- Gal 6:7 We must understand though that this decision has consequences, accepting or rejecting God effects our lives here on earth and for eternity.
- Ezekiel 18:30-32 The Bible promises us blessings in life and an eternity in heaven when we follow God, and warns of problems on earth and an eternity in hell if we reject Christ.

- Luke 23:39-43 When we hear the message of salvation through Christ, we immediately make a choice, either we reject or accept Christ.

- 2 Cor 4:4, 2 Tim 2:25-26 Many people are blinded by sin and the consequence of sin, But when God touches their hearts, their eyes are open and they repent.
- Ezekiel 18:21-23 When we choose to accept Christ, all of our sin is forgiven, and God begins the process of restoring our lives and using us for his purposes.
- 2 Cor 5:20 Our job as Christians is to present the truth about Christ to as many as we can so they can choose themselves wether they will accept or reject God.
