The Power of God
Intro: What would you like to do on your next vacation day and why?
Study
- 2 Cor 4:4, 1 Tim 4:1 We are living in a world today that is confused about the reality of God, and the identity of who God is.
- Phil 4:6-8 When we accept Christ, and understand the reality of God, as well as the identity of God, we learn God wants to be involved in all areas of our lives.
- 1 Cor 4:20, Luke 10:19 We need to understand that God wants to display his power just as much in the world today as he did in the bible.
- Col 2:13-15 The greatest display of Gods power ever was when Christ came to earth to die on the Cross for our sins to free us from the curse of death and hell.
- Isaiah 53:4-6 When Christ died on the Cross he completely broke the curse of sin this includes freedom from hell, but also from sickness, pain, and addiction.
- Phil 4:6-8 When we accept Christ, and understand the reality of God, as well as the identity of God, we learn God wants to be involved in all areas of our lives.
- John 3:15-17, Col 1:13-14 When we choose to accept Christ we become a part of the greatest display of Gods power ever, our lives are blessed and we go to heaven.
- 1 John 3:8, Matt 10:1 God also wants to display his power in this world today over demons, sickness, addiction, depression, and everything that holds us down.
- 2 Tim 4:18 When we are obeying God and living in his perfect will, he will miraculously protect us, provide for us, and guide us around traps of the devil
- John 14:12, 1 Cor 2:4-5 God also wants to display his power through our lives as we step out and minister to others in evangelism, prayer and ministry.
- Luke 24:49, 2 Cor 4:4 God wants to use this generation in great power to reach those who are lost and blind because of sin, we must surrender everything to Christ and make ourselves available to be used by God
- 1 John 3:8, Matt 10:1 God also wants to display his power in this world today over demons, sickness, addiction, depression, and everything that holds us down.

- In what ways have you personally experienced the power of God? How has your life changed because of your encounter with God power?
- Who can share testimonies of miracles you have either personally seen God do, or heard God do for others?
- In what ways have you seen the power of God displayed as you have ministered to others in prayer, ministry, preaching or prophecy?
- In what ways do you need a personal touch of the power of God in your life right now?
