“Empowered to Conquer”  Lesson # 2

  “  Positioned to Conquer! “

Intro:  What is your favorite dessert item to eat ?

 

Study

  1. Romans 8:37, John 3:3-5 When we accept Christ we are born again, we are born into a life of salvation and victory found only in Jesus which allows us to conquer everything in our way.
    1. Eph 6:12 As we discussed in the first lesson we live in a physical world but we also live in a spiritual world where we are surrounded by good and evil, angels and demons.
      1. Jeremiah 29:11-13 God has a specific plan and purpose for each of our lives and when we choose to submit to God and follow his will for our lives God will be with us, and we will conquer everything that the devil throws in our way to try and stop us.
      2. 1 Samuel 15:23  However if in our hearts we rebel against God and decide to go our own way then we will have many needless struggles and we will face defeat.
    2. 2 Cor 13:5 The way that we can be sure that we will conquer everything the devil throws at us to stop us is by examining our lives personally and making sure that we are living in Gods perfect will, doing exactly what God has called us to do.
  2. 1 Samuel 10:6-7, Romans 8:31 If we choose to live in Gods perfect will and do what he has called us to do, then God will be able to anoint us with his Holy Spirit, we will see incredible victories and we will be able to do things for God that we could never do in our own strength!
    1. John 16:33, 2 Cor 4:18 When we remain in Gods perfect will we remain under Gods protection, God will be with us in everything we face, and we will be safe from every attack the devil will throw at us, but if we step out of Gods will we step out of Gods protection.
      1. John 14:15  We need to examine our personal walk with Christ to make sure that we are living right before God.
      2. 2 Cor 6:14 We also need to examine our relationships to be sure that we are equally yoked with those who are strong in God rather than spend our time with those who are not living for God and can influence us to do wrong and pull us away from Gods will.
    2. Phil 3:14  Finally we need to be sure that we are active in our faith, serving God, and doing what God has called us to do. When we are living right before God, following Gods will, and doing what God is calling us to do, then we will be empowered to conquer! #Borntoconquer!

  2. What are some of the many things that can distract youth and young adults and pull them away from being in Gods will?
  3. What are some of the many benefits of being in Gods will? What are some of the many problems that we face when we are out of Gods Will?
  4. Why is it essential for us to be in Gods will in order to be victorious and conquer everything that is in our way?
  5. What do you feel that Gods will for your life is personally? Do you feel you are as close to God as you need to be right now? if not what is keeping you from Gods will?

 

End: Pray for those who want to live in Gods will and overcome all that the devil throws at them, pray for any who need to accept Christ or rededicate their lives to Jesus, then take requests.
