  1. 1 John 2:16, Rom 13:12-13 The Bible describes all lust as sin, the greatest and most dangerous lust attacking this generation is sexual temptation.
    1. Matt 5:28 The sin of lust includes not only actions, but also thoughts, because the Bible describes sexual thoughts as sin.
      1. 1 Cor 6:9-11 The Bible warns us against being deceived. The consequence of all unrepented sins including lust and sexual perversions of all type is eternity in Hell.
      2. Rom 1:27 Despite what society says today, homosexuality is sin, is unnatural, and is a perversion of Gods order.
    2. Job 31:1, Prov 6:25 Pornography is also a sin of lust that many people fight, there are many who feel bound and addicted to pornography.
  2. 1 Cor 6:18-20, John 14:15 God is calling us to honor him in our personal lives, flee from sexual temptations, so that we can please God and be used for his purposes.
    1. Gal 2:19-21, 2 Cor 4:4 To have victory over lust, we must first admit that what the Bible says is wrong, is wrong rather than try to justify sin.
      1. James 5:16 Another way to have victory over lust is to expose every secret sin, and run from every opportunity to give into lust.
      2. 1 Peter 4:1-3, Psalms 119:9-11, Rom 12:1-2 Finally we need to deny our flesh daily and renew our minds with the word of God.

  1. Why do you think so many people today justify various sexual perversions that the Bible clearly describes as sins? Can you give some examples of this?
  2. Why do you think that so many people are afraid to open up and admit that they struggle with sexual sin?
  3. How should we reach out in love and minister to those who are struggling with sexual sins and want to be free from these sins?
  4. What are some things that we can do to overcome sexual sins in our lives? Is there anyone here who is personally struggling with sexual lust in some way?
