  “Empowered to do the miraculous!“

Intro:   Who is the strongest person you have ever met?

Study

  1. Isaiah 48:16, Acts 1:8 God has called us to live a life empowered by the Holy Spirit so that we can reach the lost, be victorious, and able to accomplish His purposes here in this world.
    1. Mathew 19:26 The Holy Spirit will empower us to accomplish that which seems impossible for us to do in our own strength.
      1. John 14:12 The Holy Spirit, at times, will empower us to do some of the miracles that Jesus did when He was here in this world.
      2. Mathew 14:27-29 When we choose to walk in obedience to Gods commands, and step out in faith to do the impossible, God will meet us there.
    2. Acts 5:32 God gives the Holy Spirit to those who obey Him. The Holy Spirit will empower us to do whatever we may need to do in any and every situation we may face as we evangelize, lead people to Jesus, and accomplish His will for our lives here in this world.
  2. Mark 16:17-18, Acts 19:6 The Holy Spirit wants to empower us to preach the truth of Gods Word in power, operate in the miraculous, and win many people to Christ.
    1. 1 Cor 12:8-11, Acts 28:31 God will empower us and equip us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit so that we can truly be effective in evangelizing the lost and reaching the world.
      1. Acts 19:11-12 At times God may also empower us to pray for people who need healing or deliverance and through us God can miraculously heal and deliver them.
      2. Exodus 14:21-22 There may even be times when God will anoint you like Moses or Samson to do supernatural miraculous feats that are impossible for man to do.
    2. Luke 24:49, 1 Cor 4:20 We must understand that the main reason God gives us the gifts of the Holy Spirit and anoints us to do the miraculous is to equip and empower us to evangelize, lead people to Jesus, and accomplish His will for our lives here in this world.                                        #Empowered!  

     Discussion

  1. Have you ever seen God do a miracle? If so what miracle did you see God do? How did seeing God do a miracle build your faith?
  2. Have you personally received some of the gifts of the Holy Spirit? If so what Gifts of the Holy Spirit have you received?
  3. Do you have a testimony of a time when you saw someone accept Christ because of a miracle that happened in their lives, or that they witnessed?
  4. Is there anyone here tonight who needs a miracle in your life? If so what is it that you need God to do for you?

End: Pray for those who need a miracle, those who want to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to do the miraculous, operate in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and win people to Christ. Pray for those who want to accept Jesus or rededicate their lives to Christ, then take requests.
