“Empowered” Lesson #7

  “Empowered to fulfill the call of God on your life!“

Intro:  if you could have any job in the whole world, what job would you want to have and why?

Study

  1. Isaiah 48:16, Acts 1:8 God has called us to live a life empowered by the Holy Spirit so that we can reach the lost, be victorious, and able to accomplish His purposes here in this world.
    1. Mathew 19:26 The Holy Spirit will empower us to accomplish that which seems impossible for us to do in our own strength.
      1. 2 Cor 5:20 Everyone of us as Christians are called to win as many people to Jesus as we possibly can! Our purpose is evangelism!
      2. Romans 12:6 We each have different talents and abilities, but all of us are called to use our position in this world to win as many people to Jesus as possible!
    2. Acts 13:2-3 The call of God on each of our lives is the way that God wants to use the talents and abilities that we each have to win people to Jesus!
  2. Isaiah 6:8, Mathew 9:37-38 God will call everyone of us as Christians to a unique way that we can use the talents He has given us to win a specific group of people to Christ! This is the call of God on our lives!
    1. Mathew 19:26  God does not expect you to fulfill your call in your own strength. The Holy Spirit will anoint you to fulfill the call of God on your life!
      1. John 10:27 In order to fulfill the call of God on our lives, it is essential that we pray regularly, study the Bible, obey God’s Word, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.
      2. Mathew 14:29-31 We need to then face every fear, excuse, and any other obstacle that is in our way and step out in faith to what God is calling us to do!
    2. Psalms 71:16 We will discover what the call of God on our lives is when we follow the Holy Spirit’s leading and serve God faithfully. Once we know what Gods call on our lives is, we need to move forward empowered by the Holy Spirit to fulfill Gods call                                                                      #Empowered!

  1. Have you ever felt God calling you to do something, but you were afraid and did not do what God wanted you to do?
  2. What are some of the excuses and reasons people give for not following God and fulfilling the call of God on their lives?
  3. What do you feel the call of God on your life is? What steps are you currently taking in order to see the call of God on your live become reality?
  4. What are some things in your life personally that are blocking you from fulfilling God’s call on your life? Are you ready to surrender those things to God and step out in faith to fulfill the call of God on our life?

End: Pray for those who want to discover and fulfill the call of God on their lives. Then pray for those who want to accept Jesus or rededicate their lives to Christ, then take requests.
