“ Remaining on fire for God “
Intro: What is the largest church service or Christian event you have ever been to?
Study
- Jer 20:9, Jer 1:5 It is Gods will that when we become Christians that we become strong in God, that we remain on-fire for God, and that we fulfill Gods call on our lives.
- Galatians 5:7-8 However, the devil will throw many things at us to try and pull us away from God, and from accomplishing His will here in this world.
- Ezekiel 37:23 Unfortunately there are many youth and young adults who become Christians, but they end up backsliding and falling away from God.
- 1 Cor 15:33 Many backslide because they are in bad relationships with people who are influencing them to do wrong.
- Hosea 4:6 Others backslide because they do not pray, they do not read the Bible, they are inactive in their faith, and many have secret sin in their lives.
- Galatians 5:7-8 However, the devil will throw many things at us to try and pull us away from God, and from accomplishing His will here in this world.
- Joshua 1:8 We must understand that it is completely possible for everyone of us to remain strong in our faith and on-fire for God if we choose to obey Gods instructions.
- 1 Cor 10:13 God will always provide a way for us to escape every sin and temptation. If we choose to obey Him, read our Bibles, pray, and be active in our faith, then we will grow spiritually strong enough to overcome the temptations that the devil will throw at us.
- Jeremiah 3:22 The reason so many people backslide and fall away from God is because they do not follow Gods instructions on how to remain strong in their faith!
- James 1:22 In this series we discussed five steps the Bible gives us that if we do them we will have a much better chance of remaining on-fire for God.
- Prov 3:1-2, Mark 16:15 If we choose to obey Gods Word, and put into practice the steps He tells us to take, then we will always remain on-fire for God, we will be able to accomplish Gods will for our lives, and we will be able to #Reachtheworld!

- What do you feel are the main reasons that some Christian youth and young adults backslide and fall away from God?
- What are some of the many problems and negative consequences that come about in the lives of those who backslide and fall away from God? What are some of the many benefits and positive results that come about in our lives when we remain on-fire for God?
- What are the steps that we discussed in this series that God wants us to do in order to avoid temptation, remain on-fire for God, and accomplish Gods will for our lives?
- What are some things that you feel you need to do personally in order to avoid backsliding and remain on-fire for God?
End: Pray for those who want the strength to take the steps they need to take to avoid backsliding and remain on-fire for God. Pray for anyone who needs to accept Jesus as their Savior or rededicate their lives to Christ, then take requests.
