“ Praying through Difficulties”
Intro: What was the most difficult subject in school for you?
Study
- 1.1 Thess 5:17, Eph 6:18 The Bible tells us that we are to pray continuously, and pray daily no matter what is going on around us.
- A. Gal 6:9 Some people pray more when they go through challenges, and face problems and difficulties.
- 1. Mt 13:3-8 Some people when they face difficulties, they quit praying, quit going to church, and backslide.
- 2. 1 Peter 1:6-7 God will allow us to face challenges and difficulties so our faith can grow, and Christlike character can be developed in us.
- B. James 1:2-4 To be strong Christians, we must learn how to pray through the challenges and problems we face in life.

- 2.John 16:33, Phil 4:6-8 We must remember that Jesus never promised that
- life would be perfect, but he promised to be with us through difficulties.
- A. Rom 8:28 For those who surrender to Gods will and trust him, God
- will work every situation together for his good.
- 1. 1 Sam 30:6 Many times when we face difficulties, we don’t know
- what to do, but in prayer God can give us divine strength and wisdom.
- 2. Rev 12:11 When we trust God through difficulties, we will have
- testimonies of God’s faithfulness and will be able to minister to others.
- B. Rom 12:12, Ps 37:25 As we submit to God and pray through every challenge, God will mature us, and use us to accomplish his will on earth.

1. Do you personally find it easier or more difficult to pray when you are facing difficulties and challenges?
2. Does anyone have a testimony of a time when you prayed through a difficulty and saw God work the situation together for his good?
3. in What ways has God grown and matured you through the difficulties you trusted him through?
4. Who can share an example of how God used you to minister to someone who was going through something that God brought you out of?
