“Reach the World” Lesson #7

  “Empowered to reach the world “

Intro:  Where were you when you first heard the message of salvation through Jesus Christ ?

Study

  1. James 1:15, Rom 6:23 In all countries, all cultures, in all parts of the world the problem of sin is the same! The Bible tells us that the consequence of sin is death.
    1. Mark 16:15 Every one of us as Christians are called to the same purpose, to win as many people to Jesus as we possibly can! We are called to reach the world!
      1. Acts 2:1-13 The Holy Spirit came at Pentecost to anoint the disciples to reach the world with the Gospel!
      2. Luke 24:49 The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to anoint and empower us to reach the world! We do not have to do it alone, the Holy Spirit will equip us and give us everything we need to reach the world!
    2. Isaiah 6:8  We need to be willing to share Jesus with whoever God leads us to, and we need to be willing to go wherever God leads us to go no matter how dangerous it may be. The safest place that we can be in this world is in the perfect will of God!
  2. Acts 1:8, 1 Thess 1:5 The Holy Spirit will anoint us with power so we can reach the lost all around us who are in our schools, universities, work, neighborhoods, cities, nations, and even in other countries around the world with the Gospel!
    1. Mark 13:11 The Holy Spirit will give us the right words to say when we go out to evangelize and win the lost.
      1. Acts 28:31  The Holy Spirit will also anoint us to overcome every fear that may try and hold us back from sharing the Gospel with those who are around us.
      2. Rev 3:20 The Holy Spirit will also work in the hearts of those who we are evangelizing so that those who are ready to accept Jesus are open when we share Christ with them.
    2. Acts 28:31 The Holy Spirit will enable us to overcome all of our fears and excuses, give us the right words to speak, and anoint us to reach the world!

  1. Can you share a testimony of a time when the Holy Spirit anointed you to be bold and fearless and share Jesus with someone? What happened?
  2. What are some of the many areas around you where people need to know Jesus? Have you evangelized in these areas? If not why? What is your plan to reach these areas now?
  3. Can you share an example of a time when you saw a powerful move of the Holy Spirit where many people accepted Jesus as their Savior?
  4. Are there people you know personally who you feel the Holy Spirit leading you to reach out to?  What is your plan to share the Gospel with them?

End: Pray for those who want to be filled with the Holy Spirit and be anointed to reach the world with the Gospel. Pray for any who need to accept Christ, then take requests.
