Intro: What time do you prefer to wake up in the morning ?

Study

  1. John 8:32, Isaiah 61:1 The Bible says that when we know the truth we will find freedom, the answer to everything we need in life is found in the Bible.
    1. Mark 6:34 People everywhere in every culture, and every country are searching for true peace, freedom, and the answers to life.
      1. Prov 16:25 Our world is full of people deceived by satan, and bound by the chains of sin.
      2. Matt 7:13 Many people turn to drugs, drinking, and sexual sin as an the answer, or an escape, but end up feeling more empty and bound.
    2. 1 Cor 3:19 Others look to education, success or money outside of God only to realize these things do not make them happy.
  2. Rom 10:13-15 The world is lost, empty and dying without God, and so many don’t know how to look to God as the answer.
    1. John 14:6 Jesus is the only way, truth, and life, the Bible shows us the only way to true freedom is found in Christ.
      1. 2 Cor 3:17 Jesus is not one of many options or ways to Heaven, he is the only way to salvation, and the only way out of Hell, and into Heaven.
      2. 1 John 3:8 Jesus appeared to destroy all works of the devil, when satan is defeated the result is freedom in every area of our lives.
    2. Gal 5:1 Once we find freedom in Christ, God wants us to spend our lives helping others around us find the same freedom that we have

  1. What are some of the things that this generation today is looking to as the purpose and answer to life outside of God?
  2. Why do you think so many people go down the wide road of destruction, but so few find the narrow road that leads to eternal life found in Christ?
  3. Why do you feel so many people are tricked into thinking that drugs, drinking and sexual sin will not hurt them?
  4. What are some ways that we can help those around us find this same freedom in Christ that we have?
