“ Is Hell Real?”

 

Intro: Where is the hottest place you have ever been?

 

Study

  1. Psalms 144:4, Ecc 9:12 The Bible tells us that life is short, and none of us know how much time we have.
    1. Mt 25:46 Heaven and hell are real places, and after this life is over every one of us will spend eternity in one of those two locations.
      1. 2 Peter 2:4 Hell is the place of punishment for satan, the demons, and all people who reject God.
      2. Rev 14: 9-13 The Bible describes hell as burning fire, endless torment for eternity, complete separation from God.
    2. Ezekiel 18:21-24 God is a loving God, willing to forgive us no matter how bad the sin is. God is also just, when we turn from God there is a cost.
  2. Luke 16:22-31 The Bible shows us what will happen when life is over if we accept Christ and what happens when we don’t, we each must decide.
    1. Ps 51:5, James 1:15 Because Adam and Eve sinned, we are all born sinners, and we were all born on our way to Hell.
      1. John 3:16 Because of Gods amazing love for people, he doesn’t want anyone to go to hell, so he sent his son to die in our place.
      2. Rev 20:15 Those who accept Christ and repent of their sins will go to heaven, those who reject Christ continue on their way to hell.
    2. 2 Cor 5:20, Jude 1:23 God has called each of us as Christians to share Christ with everyone we can, so as many as possible can escape Hell!

  1. Why is it important that when we share the gospel that we include the reality of heaven and hell?
  2. Do you know people who question the reality of hell? how should we respond to people who doubt what the Bible says about hell?
  3. What is the danger in people questioning the Bible and doubting the reality of heaven and hell?
  4. In what ways can you be more evangelistic in your everyday life and help others find Christ so they can spend eternity in heaven rather then hell?

 

End: Pray for those who need to accept Christ, or rededicate their lives to Christ so they can avoid hell and be sure they are going to heaven, then take requests.
