“Victorious!” Lesson #8

  “ Victorious in our purpose “

Intro:  What do you desire to do as a career when you finish college or university?

Study

  1. 1 Cor 15:57, Psalms 108:13  God desires for everyone of us to be victorious in all areas of our lives and in the purpose that he has for us here in this world.
    1. Jer 29:11-13 God has a specific purpose and plan for each of our lives! There are things that God has called each of us to accomplish while we are here in this world.
      1. Jeremiah 1:5 We have each been born with gifts and talents and God has called us to reach a specific group of people with the gospel using the gifts and talents that we have.
      2. Rom 10:13-15 God has called everyone of us to reach as many people for Jesus as we can in our schools, neighborhoods, work, and even in our careers.
    2. Matt 28:18-20, 2 Cor 5:20 Our purpose is to use our abilities to lead people to know Jesus Christ as their savior! this is why we were born and why we are here in the world!
  2. Mark 13:11,  Isaiah 50:4 The Holy Spirit will anoint us with the right words and will give us opportunities and strategies to reach the lost people around us with the gospel.
    1. 2 Peter 5:8-10 The devil will do everything he can to stop us from winning people for Christ and from fulfilling Gods purposes for our lives! He will attempt to get us to waste our time doing other things, and will try and distract us from serving God altogether.
      1. Matt 4:4, 2 Thess 5:17 In order for us to remain strong in God, and in our purpose we must be faithful in daily prayer, reading our bibles and in fellowship with other Christians.
      2. Hebrews 12:1-2, 1 Cor 15:57  If we are faithful to Gods call and we keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, then we will be victorious in every area of our lives including our purpose!
    2. 2 Tim 4:7, Gal 6:9 God has an awesome plan for each of us! When we follow him with all our hearts he will give us victory over every attack of the devil, we will reach many people for Jesus and fulfill Gods purposes for our lives!  #Victorious!

  1. What are some of the greatest things that distract youth and young adults from fulfilling the call and purpose of God on their lives?
  2. What do you feel is a gift or talent that God has given you personally ? In what ways are you using your talents and gifts to lead others to Jesus?
  3. Can you give a testimony of a time when you brought someone to Jesus and led them through the sinners prayer? What impact did this experience have in your life?
  4. What are some things we can do so we can be victorious over every temptation and influence that tries to keep us from fulfilling Gods purposes for our lives?
