Study

  1. Mark 16:15, Psalms 119:105 In order for us to reach the world, we must correctly understand what the word of God says, so that we can preach the truth of God’s Word to the world.
    1. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 The Bible is the perfect Word of God given to all of humanity, to all cultures, for all time, to all people in every part of the world.
      1. Psalms 119:105 The Bible is our light, our guide, and our standard on what is right and wrong, and it shows us how we should live in this world.
      2. Mathew 15:14 Right and wrong must be determined by what the Bible says, not by the spiritually blind leaders in our world today.
    2. Hebrews 4:12, John 17:17 The standards that God has given us in His word are not open for debate, God’s word is final! What the Bible says is sin, is sin, and we should avoid it
  2. 2 Cor 6:14, John 15:18-19 Today, Christians are left with a choice, to either conform to the degradation and immorality of a culture that is blinded by sin, or to follow God, obey His standards and risk being persecuted by the world.
    1. 1 Timothy 4:1-2 Christian youth and young adults today are facing immense pressure to abandon Biblical standards, and embrace the doctrine of demons of the inclusiveness of the perversion and sin that are now accepted and celebrated in society.
      1. 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 We must realize that it is much better to please God than to try and please the sinful world around us. If we please God and live by his standards and laws, our lives will be so much better, and we will go to Heaven for eternity.
      2. Proverbs 14:12 However, if we decide to reject Gods laws and the standards of the Bible, then we will have many problems and struggles in this world, and we will go to hell for eternity!
    2. Deut 30:19,John 8:32 In this new series we will look at what the Word of God says about many of the sins that are now embraced and celebrated in our world today. It is essential that we clearly understand, obey, and preach what the Word of God says so that we can #Reachtheworld!

1.  What are some examples of the many things that society tells us are good that the Bible clearly teaches are wrong?

2.  Why is it so important that we stand firm and obey the standards of the Bible, rather than follow what the world says is o.k.?

3.  What are some of the many dangers of rejecting Gods Word and embracing the sins that the world now celebrates?

4.  What are some of the ways that we can resist the pressure of the world, and follow the standards of the Word of God in our lives in today’s world?
